Support at this property is provided by Civic Disability Services Ltd.
At this home, support is available in several ways, 24 hours a day, day only, evening only, or through onsite shared support.
Tenants have the flexibility to bring their own core supports if they wish. While funding for active overnight support isn’t required, residents will have a voice in choosing who provides onsite overnight assistance.
The onsite shared support provider is appointed and reviewed through a tenant-led process, allowing residents to collectively select and manage their preferred provider. This collaborative approach ensures that everyone’s needs are met. Tenants typically provide feedback and vote on their provider each year, with the option to make changes if the current service isn’t the right fit.
To be eligible for this vacancy, applicants must have Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding with a High Physical Support category.
On site disability supports are provided by Civic Disability Services. Civic has 60 years’ experience empowering people with disability and mental health conditions to realise their full potential and live actively engaged lives. Over 600 people across Greater Sydney including the Hunter, Blue Mountains, Western Sydney and Shoalhaven receive Civic services.
Civic is ISO 9001:2015 certified, compliant with National and NSW Disability Service Standards, compliant with Home Care Standards (aged care), and a registered NDIS service provider (4050001425), registered provider in Voluntary out of home Care.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a type of housing funded under the NDIS for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA properties are designed to be accessible and safe, often including features like wider doorways, reinforced ceilings for hoists and smart home technology.
High Physical Support is one of the SDA design categories. It means the property is built for people who require a high level of physical assistance, such as ceiling hoists, backup power for essential equipment and accessible bathrooms. This category supports individuals who need significant help with mobility and daily living tasks.
